Stuff and Whatnot Carry on.
I just finished talking to myself.
It's a very pleasant feeling, I think everybody should try it at least once. I do it all the time, and sometimes people don't like that. They're all like, "Why the hell are you smiling to yourself?" and I'm like, "Oh, nothing."
Then they give you that side-eye thing, where they mentally berate you for your lameness. Word gets out that you're really lame and soon enough, they pretend to not notice whenever you gleefully smile without sensible timing. All part of the fun!
But if we're going to talk about lameness though, I'm your poster girl. And I think that's a good thing.
Well, whatever. My birthday is next Saturday. I'm not as excited as I usually am, though. My dad has already forked over some $$$ to me earlier this month so that means I've already received my present. And I always ask for cake. So I guess I'm not as excited because I won't get any cool surprises. But you know, we all grow up.
I wanted to include a really cool quote at... (more)

Mimi's Blog The Verdict.
Hi all,
Yes, we are finally arrived in the new country, Brunei Darussalam. The journey was way to long for all of us. We've worn out when we reached Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB) on Thur's afternoon. With all hectic packing (the entire universe), with 19 boxes, 6 silver waterproof, 15 brown, 1 clear and 3 fragile selotapes - we've managed to do the shipping, cleaned and moved out of the house @ 4am (1/12/2009)!
Yusuff didnt even say goodbye to the house as everything was moving so fast! It broke my heart everytime when Yusuff talks about home, "Yusuff's hat at home, mummy get it" (as the weather is so hot and sunny here) or "Yusuff get ready to go didu's (grandma) or kakak's house" or just simply " Yusuff's going home - Yusuff's house"
I miss home. I miss Lynton Avenue. I miss you guys already - Jetlag still on, im off to bed!
We've moved from this view and weather
to this view and weather....
(Sorry for the jemuran kain and the kepala mop - enjoy the coconut tree and sunny... (more)
Idigitizing Top Reasons Why Digitizing Slides Is Beneficial To Photo Preservatio n
Digitizing slides is one of the best, most popular things that can be done to preserve the memories that are captured in the slides. This entails making a scan of a slide with a special scanner, uploading them to a computer as a high-resolution file, and turning those files into images that are burned onto a picture CD or DVD for posterity. There are a few different ways to go about digitizing slides, and while some people prefer to do it at home, others opt to hire a professional scanning service to do it for them.
There are a lot of good benefits to digitizing slides as opposed to keeping them in storage in a box. People unknowingly cause harm to their slides by doing simple things, like touching them. Fingers have acid on them, and this acid eventually eats away at both the actual slide and the cardboard holder that they are placed in. Digitizing slides would eliminate the problem of damaging them every time they are handled.
In this day and age, the old slide projectors... (more)
fashion Valentine's Day is how come from?
¡¡¡¡Valentine's Day started during the Roman Empire. Under the rule of Emperor Claudius II, Rome was involved in many bloody military campaigns. Claudius the Cruel, as he was known at the time, was having difficulty in getting soldiers to join his military leagues. He believed that the reason was that Roman men did not want to leave their lovers or families. As a result, Claudius cancelled all marriages and engagements in Rome.
¡¡¡¡A Christian priest named Valentine came to defend love in the empire. Valentine began to secretly marry couples despite the emperor's orders. When Emperor Claudius was informed of these ceremonies, Valentine was sent to prison where he remained until his death on February 14 in the year 270.
¡¡¡¡It wasn't until a few hundred years later when Valentine's Day began to develop as we know it. At that time Christianity was beginning to take control of Europe.
¡¡¡¡In honor of his sacrifice for love, Valentine was made a saint. And as part of the effort the Church... (more)
